Mr Geoffrey Glazer
Mr Geoffrey Glazer, senior consultant surgeon and Honorary Consultant at St Mary's Hospital is a gastro-intestinal and laparoscopic surgeon. His clinical interests have been in pancreatico-biliary and gall bladder disease and also in the whole range of colorectal surgery.
Mr Romi Navaratnam
Mr Romi Navaratnam is a Consultant Colorectal and Laparoscopic Surgeon at the Wellington Hospital. His specialist interests include rectal bleeding and colonoscopy (including screening for colorectal cancer ); the management of benign peri anal conditions such as haemorrhoids, anal fissures and fistulae in ano. He also has a specialist interest in laparoscopic (keyhole surgery) particularly for colorectal cancer and other general surgical laparoscopic procedures such as gallbladders, herniae and appendicectomy.
Mr Navaratnam is a Consultant Colorectal & Laparoscopic Surgeon at the North Middlesex Hospital London and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Royal Free Hospital and UCL Medical School.
Mr Austin Obichere
Mr Austin Obichere is a Consultant Colorectal and Laparoscopic Surgeon at The Wellington Hospital with special interests in gastrointestinal surgery and coloproctology, colorectal cancer, haemorrhoidal disease and other benign disorders of the anus, rectum and pelvic floor.
Mr Obichere is also a consultant colorectal surgeon at University College Hospital London where he is an Honorary Senior Lecturer.
Mr Olagunju Ogunbiyi
Mr Olagunju Ogunbiyi is a consultant colorectal surgeon at The Wellington Hospital with special interests in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, endoscopy and general surgery.
Mr Ogunbiyi is also a consultant colorectal surgeon at The Royal Free Hospital in North London.
Mr Barry Paraskeva
Mr Barry Paraskeva is a Consultant General, Laparoscopic and Colo-rectal surgeon at St Mary's Hospital in London and a Reader in Surgery at Imperial College, London. He graduated from St Mary's Hospital Medical School in 1994 with honours and went on to train in general and colorectal surgery in the North Thames area.
His main interests are in elective and emergency general and particularly laparoscopic surgery, including diagnostic laparoscopy, laparoscopic appendicectomy, laparoscopic hernia repair, laparoscopic cholecystectomy and laparoscopic colo-rectal resections for benign and malignant disease. Recently he has pioneered single port laparoscopic surgery/ single incision laparoscopic surgery which is virtually scarless surgery, and was the first surgeon in the UK to remove the appendix and gallbladder in this way.
Mr Bijendra Patel
Mr Bijendra Patel is a consultant Laparoscopic and Upper GI surgeon at The Wellington Hospital. His special interests are Surgical Oncology, Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery for Acid reflux, Gall stones, Hernia, Morbid Obesity, Thyroid and General Surgery.
Mr Patel is also a Consultant Surgeon and Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Cancer, St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospital NHS Trust. In addition he is Director of the MSc course in Surgical Skills at Queen Mary's, University of London.
