Alli Bautista

GI/ENT/Liver consulting room charge nurse

Alli has been employed by the hospital since early 2003 and has gained experience in orthopaedics and surgical wards. He has been running the OPD since it opened in June 2006 and has recently been promoted to Charge Nurse.

Mari Hayaishi

Endoscopy Staff Nurse

Mari came over to the UK to broaden her horizons and started in the endoscopy unit in 2002 after completing her nursing adaptation in Surrey. She has spent a number of years working in different areas to build up a wide range of skills but has been most attracted to the GI world since she graduated from nursing school, completing further studies in this area.

Barbara Hemmings

Endoscopy Staff Nurse

Barbara joined the endoscopy unit at the Wellington just 6 weeks ago, although her nursing career spans 3 decades. She brings with her extensive knowledge and skills, having previously worked in a variety of settings both in the NHS and private sector.

Kate Murray

GI/ENT/Liver consulting room Health Care Assistant

Kate previously worked with adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues, and spent a year caring for adults in the community. She is enjoying practicing her new venepuncture skills and learning new things from the outpatients area.

Mariana Nedyalkova

Endoscopy Technician

Mariana has been working in the endoscopy unit at the Wellington Hospital for 1.5yrs. Prior to coming here she worked in the Princess Grace Hospital in the outpatients department. She has 9 years experience as a gastroenterologist’s assistant in Bulgaria where she graduated.

Bindhu Santhosh

Endoscopy Staff Nurse

Bindhu joined HCA in 2005 and has been in the endoscopy unit at the Wellington for just over a year. She has over 8 years experience in India in CCU and medical-surgical unit. She enjoys endoscopy which is a new career choice for her. She finds the small multi-cultural aspect of the team a good support to her.

Stephanie Sim

Endoscopy Sister

Stephanie joined the Wellington Hospital 6 years ago and leads the Gastroenterology nursing team. She has completed an ENB Gastro Intestinal/Endoscopy course. Prior to this she spent 7 years working in general surgery, urology, ENT, and gynaecology mainly in New Zealand.

Joseph Tongol

Endoscopy Senior Staff Nurse

In 2002, Joseph arrived from the Philippines where he had gained a wealth of theatre and endoscopy experience. His strengths lie in his ability to improvise and problem-solve, and he excels at all things technical. Joseph is very much an all-rounder and his contribution to the unit is invaluable.

Debbie Thompson

Patient Administrator

Debbie started in 2002 after spending time in the GI unit working through an agency. She loved it so much she never left! Debbie has a vital role to play in that she is the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff who visit the GI unit.
