Dr Stuart BloomDr Stuart Bloom

Dr Stuart Bloom is a consultant gastroenterologist at The Wellington Hospital with special interests in general gastroenterology, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, IBS, diverticular disease, and food intolerance.

In recent years Dr Bloom has been researching the cause of Crohn's disease and together with Professor Tony Segal at the Raine Institute, he has published a recent paper on the latest findings on the causes of the illness.

For the past five years he has been clinical director of gastroenterology at University College London Hospital.

Dr Martyn CaplinDr Martyn Caplin

Dr Martyn Caplin is a consultant gastroenterologist at The Wellington Hospital with special interests in general gastroenterology, upper and lower GI endoscopy, peptic ulcer disease, IBS, coeliac disease and abnormal liver function. He has an international reputation in the field of intestinal cancers including neuroendocrine (carcinoid) tumours. He is chairman of the UK Neuroendocrine Tumour Society and has a large research programme investigating the effect of intestinal hormones on the gut, new therapies for neuroendocrine tumours and HPB tumours. He is the NHS clinical lead for the National Library for Health for Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases.

Dr Caplin is also a consultant gastroenterologist at The Royal Free Hospital in North London and honorary senior lecturer at the Royal Free & University College Medical School.

Dr Stephen Pereira is a consultant gastroenterologist at The Wellington Hospital with special interests in disease of the liver, pancreas and biliary tree, small bowel disease, ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound.

Dr Pereira is also a consultant and senior lecturer in hepatology and gastroenterology at University College Hospital, London. He is also Honorary Consultant in paediatric pancreatic biliary medicine at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.

Dr Ray ShidrawiDr Ray Shidrawi

Dr Ray Shidrawi is a consultant gastroenterologist at The Wellington Hospital with special interests in interventional endoscopy (in particular endoscopic ultrasound) including therapeutic upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP), the treatment of chronic viral hepatitis, inflammatory bowel diseases (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, celiac disease and food intolerances.

Dr Shidrawi is also a consultant gastroenterologist at Homerton University Hospital in North East London.

Dr Voi Shim WongDr Voi Shim Wong

Dr Voi Shim Wong is a consultant physician and gastroenterologist at The Wellington Hospital with special interests in dyspepsia, colitis, IBS, bowel cancer screening, liver diseases, and endoscopy.

At The Wellington Hospital he practices an holistic and multidisciplinary team approach which he believes is key to effective diagnosis and treatment of patients with gastrointestinal conditions, particularly those with complex illnesses.
