Dietetics
The Dietetic service is available for all inpatients and outpatients during their treatment. The department consists of qualified Registered Dietitians who hold current registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC), are members of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and are Registered Providers with medical insurance companies.
Dietitians work within their Professional Code of Conduct and in doing so are committed to providing a quality service to patients and colleagues.
The aim of the service is to ensure that referred patients' nutritional status or symptoms are monitored, maintained or improved wherever possible, during the demands of their treatment.
The Dietitian will give advice and support to ensure that the nutrition available to patients is adequate, acceptable and appropriate for their needs.

Dietetic Services Available
The Dietetic Department has 3 full time Registered Dietitians (2 Senior Dietitians and a Head of Dietetics) providing a Nutrition & Dietetic Service for referred inpatients Monday to Friday between the hours of 0900 - 1700.
Each Dietitian acts as lead provider for each clinical speciality.
Dietetic outpatient appointments are available for referred patients, Monday to Friday between the hours of 0930 - 1600 and can be made by contacting the Dietitian directly.
Referrals are accepted in writing from the patient's consultant or GP.
